Losing weight or trying to get fit can be one of the hardest things you will do. We are creatures of habit, and it can be very hard to change habits that we have had for many years.
But maybe, your doctor has given you the "warning" or maybe you just don't feel your best, or maybe last years clothes are not fitting right. Which ever way you look at it, you need some easy ways to lose weight. So, if you are looking for losing weight tips, then here are three that worked for me.
1. Buy a Pedometer - You can get these for under 10 dollars, now and they are worth every penny. If you are normally a sedentary person, this is a way to give your body a little bit of competition!. It has been said that a fit person will walk 10,000 steps a day for good health.
Don't let this discourage you if yours is only showing 1500 steps in a day! This leave you lots of room for improvement! Start adding a few little errands, walk to the other office bathroom, move the car further away in the parking lot. Take a walk after lunch, or take your dog around the block.
You will soon find little ways to add steps to your day. You will get excited to see higher and higher steps. Some of these pedometers will let you program your weight etc, so that you know how many calories you burned. So, if you do nothing else in your diet or lifestyle, try adding one of these to begin with.
2. Replace ingredients in your drinks - Coffee drinkers, if you drink double double, then switch to one cream and one sugar, or if you feel really adventurous, switch to milk and no sugar.. But the idea is baby steps, and you will get used to the slight tweaks.
Soft drinks, try and switch one soft drink out for flavored water, or water and some lemon.
3. Switch out cheese - There are many low fat cheeses now that taste great. This was my problem area, I loved cheese and it is high in calories and fat. I found some low fat ones that I liked and switched them out. I saved calories and fat.
Losing weight tips - All you need to do, to lose a pound a week, is to find 500 calories in your day that you can get rid of. 50 calories here and there add up big time. Between the coffee cream and cheese you could have almost 500 calories alone. If you just can't find that many, then go for 250. This will give you a 2 pound loss in a month. That all adds up. That is 24 pound by this time next year, just by switching out a few foods, or coffee cream.
So, take the slow road, and your weight loss goals will be won. There are easy ways to lose weight, you just have to take baby steps, but you will get there!
