picking a niche

If you love to write, sometimes picking a niche can be hard. What do your write about? If this has happened to you, and you are blinking at a blank screen, then give yourself a break, leave the computer and get out and do something, but bring a notepad with you.

Work in the garden. Do you know much about flowers? Weeds? Lawns? Getting rid of bugs? Just think about the things you know about or do daily. You may be able to come up with a great idea or niche to write about that may help others.

Head to town, if something catches your eye, write it down. Anything can be a possible subject or niche to write about. Are you have trouble with something, write about it. Do, you have a great review for a product you use.. write about it.

Picking a great niche does not need to be difficult, but you can draw a blank from time to time. The idea behind taking a pad of paper with you, is that sometimes you come up with great article or niche ideas, and then forget about them that night after dealing with work, traffic, dinner, kids and homework. You finally get the computer to yourself and you forget all those ideas. So, writing ideas down should become a habit.

Another great way to find a subject or niche to write about, is to ask your friends or co-workers what they looked up on the internet today. The answer may just surprise you.

I asked my friends, and I got all kinds of answers, from chicken recipes to fixing a leaking toilet. These can give you ideas for a great niche to write about.

Go through your day, and just think about the things you do and the things you want to do, and write it down, before you know it, you will have a great list of possibilities to check out when you get time to work on your article writing.

Great advice DianeyP I'm going through that process myself now. I'm basically flinging out a bunch of articles and seeing which ones stick with me so to speak.
